At Priest Praise Ministries, we use the word “elder” to denote people who have the spiritual and character qualifications of 1Timothy 3:1-7, and Titus 1:5-9, but who have also demonstrated an interest and an aptitude for developing the church as a whole, as opposed to being focused on a single ministry within the church, even though elders are heavily involved and participate in day to day ministry as well. The specific duties of elders are determined by individual abilities, spiritual gifts, and call in conjunction with the needs of the congregation.
The elders work together to ensure that all the various parts of Priestly Praise Ministries continue to grow and develop in ways that are consistent with the Scriptures and in ways that accomplish the overall mission of the church. They also keep in view the spiritual health of the body, and work to ensure the growth is taking place throughout the body. Elders meet pray and work toward the continuing growth and spiritual formation of the church.
